What is it like to do your system development project at Sitevision?
We asked our awesome SUP students Louise and Molly to share what the project they are working on involves and what the days look like here at Sitevision. It’s so nice to have them here — and just as nice that they want to share in the blog ⭐️

Hello everyone!
This year, we are SUP students who are carrying out our system development project here at Sitevision during the spring semester. Our names are Louise and Molly, and we are 22 and 23 years old, respectively, and we are studying our final semester of the systems science programme at Örebro University. In addition to studying, we both enjoy involving ourselves in student life, so if we’re not at Sitevision, you’ll find us at university.
Partner portal
The goal of the system development project we are carrying out is to digitalise the process in which partners of Sitevision manage their business and leads. This will be done by creating a portal where partners themselves can log in to get an overview of their ongoing leads, that is, their projects and deals, and update information about them.
We start from a requirement specification and a prototype. In purely technical terms, the solution must be implemented by developing a WebApp and a RESTApp. These are both back-end functionality for integration and front-end functionality with user interfaces that are built in React, which will be used by customers when they visit the portal.
The RESTapp will be integrated with Salesforce, which is a service that contributes with an API that will be used to retrieve and present information about customers.
Meeting goals and learning new things
We’re currently in our fifth week in the office and we're finding that it’s getting more fun and better every day. One thing we think is particularly great here at Sitevision is that we've had the opportunity to attend some of Sitevision’s own training courses — we have good access to resources (even our own space and coffee machine 😉) and very accessible supervisors.
We feel very welcome in the office and receive a lot of support from our mentors Gustav and Emil. We hope that after this semester we have achieved the goals we set for the project, but above all that we feel that we have learned a lot!
